A few of my fellow Sweat Pink Ambassador sisters (don’t know what I’m talking about? Go to fitapproach.com to find out) have been blogging about their summer intentions and I decided to make a list too. This summer, I will:
1). run religiously to train for the Nike Women’s Marathon in October
2). raise over $2,000 for Team in Training benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. (Donate here: http://pages.teamintraining.org/sf/nikesf12/jmaierhrcm to help me achieve this!)
3). spend two evenings a week without turning on my TV or computer
4). work out at least 5 days a week (and a few of those should be two-a-days)
5). drink less alcohol, drink more water
6). quit being so indecisive over my career
7). do not answer phone calls or texts while on my “solitude hikes”
8). complain less
9). spend more time with the people that matter. spend less time with the people who don’t deserve it.
10). volunteer at least once a month
11). learn to let go of the things holding me back
12). make sure to tell people who I care about, that I care about them.
13). sign up for the national bone marrow registry
Ok, one more for good luck: do more things by myself more often. Dinner, movie, hike, whatever. I love my friends but it’s time I started looking inward for fulfillment. Starting now.
I love your goals! I especially like your idea of solitude hikes! It’s great to disconnect and spend time with just yourself!
Agreed. I have been doing those for a while but have just recently started to appreciate the time alone in nature. I’m not the kind of person who can tune the world out easily, but at least getting away from the things that stress me out gives me a momentary escape.
is it bad I need to add complain less to mine too? I feel like I’ve been so stressed lately, I need to work on decompressing!
