…Because chicks like to get gnarly too.
Through out my entire life I have always been an avid sports fan. Be it participating, watching, photographing, and/or working in sports, there has always been a genuine connection between me and that world.
Born and bred in NYC I always love watching my NY teams (Giants, Yankees, Rangers, Knicks) and then attending the University of Michigan as a Sports Management Major, I became a rabid Wolverine fan.
But my love of sports doesn’t just extend to the traditional avenues. I’ve been skiing since I was 2, snowboarding since I was 15, and always still trying to be a better surfer at every age. Being outside, staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle has always been important to me. That is why I moved to Vail, CO in 2006. I wanted to snowboard my butt off for a year, which eventually turned into 6 amazing years of pow turns and over 500 days of shredding. Now a recent transplant to San Francisco, I am enjoying everything the Bay Area has to offer from surfing, kiteboarding, stand up paddling, camping, mountain biking, snowboarding, and skateboarding. Currently, I work as the social media coordinator and community manager at an action sports company called GoodPeople.com where I keep tabs on all the goings on in the world of action sports.
Rachel will be a guest contributor to the blog, writing about all things action sports. We are so lucky to have her as our newest addition to the Chicks Like Sports Too family.
