The Heat won. Now what?

I feel like this season, the NBA just took it to a whole new level.  Whether you hate LeBron, love LeBron, watch NBA, don’t care, your life was probably impacted somehow by the playoffs.  You couldn’t turn on the radio without hearing about it.    It consumed the sports world for a while (wait, who won the Stanley Cup?), and now that it’s over, we are left with a void (sort of like how I feel after football season is over).  Have no fear, sports fans, there is plenty of stuff out there to watch and to get you through your NFL/NBA withdrawal.

1. Tennis: Wimbeldon.  June 25-July 8.  Lots of drama already.  Isner just lost in the first round.  Big upset.

2. Soccer: EURO 2012.  Next up: Portugal v. Spain on 6/27

3. Baseball: How could you forget about America’s favorite pastime?!  With one of the longest seasons in all of sports, baseball is a marathon, not a sprint.  While some teams came out of the gates fast, they are quickly being overtaken by legacy powerhouses.  The Yankees are back on top, but I think the Orioles are still the team to watch.  The Mets’ R.A. Dickey is the player to watch.  Holy pitching, Batman!   I might be biased here, but I’m pretty proud of both my teams’ records so far.  Watch this tonight: Dodgers at Giants.  7:15 pacific.

4. Summer Olympics: London.  It only happens once every 4 years, so catch it while you can!  Starts July 27th
