You can’t always get what you want

The Mavs won, which by default means that the Heat lost. I found myself strangely cheering for the Heat, and for LeBron James for a strange reason. I know that he has been portrayed as a villain for what he did to Cleveland, and yes maybe all that shit talking about winning seven titles was a little over the top, but I couldn’t help but feel bad for him for a millisecond. He went to Miami because it was the place that gave him, one of the best basketball players in the country, a chance to win. If any one of us switched jobs because it put us in a better position to succeed in our career, who would fault us? I understand why the people of Cleveland felt upset, and why some of them would never get over it, but what excuse do the rest of us have for holding a grudge? I would have liked to see him win to show people he made the right choice for his career. And unless you’re from Ohio and were a fan before and feel like a girlfriend who got dumped over ESPN, you should get over it and stop blaming the guy for wanting to win- because admit it, wouldn’t you have done the same thing?
